DECORATION AND RENOVATION PLAN
A. Time Planning
- Determining the total duration of the renovation and the estimated delivery date
- Planning the order and delivery dates of the materials to be used in manufacturing (kitchen, bathroom, flooring, doors, etc.)
- Determining the production / workmanship durations and installation delivery dates of the materials and products to be used
- Creating a work schedule for craftsmen and teams (electricity, plumbing, plaster, paint, furniture, etc.)
B. Requirements and Tasks
- Taking measurements of all existing areas (rooms, kitchen, bathroom, corridor, etc.)
- Determining the general budget range for the renovation
- Clarifying usage purposes and functions
- For example: workspace, storage area, laundry room, pantry, etc.
- If a sliding door will be installed, determining the installation type (in-wall / wall-mounted rail system)
- Determining style and design
- Modern, classic, country, minimal, etc.
- Determining color choices and lighting style (warm/cool light, spot, LED, etc.)
C. Design Stages
- Creating layout and organization plans for kitchen, bathroom and corridor built-in wardrobes
- Developing designs for storage areas and special solutions (laundry room, pantry, cleaning cabinets, etc.)
- Determining the materials to be used for flooring:
- Ceramic, marble, etc. for wet areas
- Parquet, vinyl or other suitable coverings for other areas
- Selecting wall finishes:
- Paint
- Wallpaper
- Decorative plaster or panels
- Selecting ceiling drywall applications and lighting solutions:
- Spot lighting
- LED lighting
- Cove lighting and decorative ceiling details
- Determining the main color palette (white, grey, beige, etc.) and accent colors
- Ensuring that doors, skirting boards and, if any, niches / decorative wall details are aligned with the overall concept in terms of style and color
D. Renovation Process
- Dismantling and preparation works
- Removal of old cabinets, doors, floor coverings and tiles
- Demolishing or rearranging walls in required areas
- Removing existing tiles in wet areas
- Preparing and applying waterproofing in bathrooms and wet areas
- Renewing the plumbing (hot–cold water lines, drains, etc.)
- Checking the heating system and replacing pipes, radiators, etc. if necessary
- Renewing kitchen and bathroom drains and clean water lines
- Checking thermal and sound insulation and applying insulation in required areas
- Performing plaster, wall correction and floor leveling works
- Creating new walls and niches
- Electrical installation:
- Checking and arranging socket locations, light switches, TV–internet sockets and other electrical points
- Installing ceiling drywall applications and preparing lighting points
- Wall painting and/or wallpaper application
- Performing final inspections and correcting incomplete or defective areas
E. Furniture and Accessories – Selection and Production Stages
- Creating the layout plan for kitchen cabinets and drawers and determining white goods locations
- If the combi boiler location is to be changed, preparing the required project and obtaining approvals from IGDAS (or the relevant authority)
- For corridor built-in wardrobes:
- Color selections
- Detailing interior partitions, shelves, drawers and hanging areas
- Planning the production and installation process of the wardrobes
- Selecting the interior panel color of the entrance door and, if necessary, fully renewing the door
- Designing and manufacturing the laundry room:
- Placement of the washing machine and dryer
- Planning cabinets, shelves, baskets and storage areas
- Designing, selecting colors and manufacturing bathroom cabinets:
- Under-sink cabinet
- Mirror and lighting details
- Selecting accessories and complementary items for general decoration:
- Rugs, curtains, lighting elements, mirrors, paintings, decorative objects, etc.
